While the Giants carved out a win against the Washington Football Team on Sunday, their performance wasn’t enough to get them off the powerless rankings this week. Winning against a team without a name is not exactly the milestone victory that turns your season around. Quarterback Daniel Jones has played well the last few weeks but he hasn’t yet played up to his high draft selection. While the defense was better against Washington, they continue to give up big plays. Also, Washington appears to be the only team Giants and Jones can beat.

The Cowboys played well against the undefeated Steelers behind a good game from backup backup QB quarterback Garrett Gilbert, a former AAF star. For the first time since Dak Prescott’s injury, the Cowboys played with grit and fire that is expected from an NFL franchise. However, the effort by itself doesn’t get you off the powerless rankings. America’s Team is still struggling with only two wins on the season, and until they get back in the W column they’ll probably find themselves on this list.

The Washington Football Team is atrocious. The defensive line is its only bright spot, everything else seems like it needs some work. It needs to get its quarterback in next year’s NFL Draft because it’s apparent that it’s moved on from 2019 first-round pick Dwayne Haskins. It also needs better offensive coaches on staff to help the development of the next quarterback, whoever that is. With only two wins on the season and a loss on Sunday against the Giants, it seems pretty clear where D.C. stands.

The Jaguars can’t defend anyone. They gave up nearly 30 points yesterday to a Texans team that also only had one victory on the season entering Week 9. The quarterback situation has also been a mess for this team starting with Gardner Minshew and now Jake Luton behind center, after Minshew got hurt in Week 7. The Jaguars will need a fresh start soon and can potentially find their next star at quarterback in either Clemson’s Lawrence or Ohio State’s Fields.
